Abstract Submission for Oral and Poster Communications
All participants are invited to submit abstracts of scientific communications either for oral or poster presentations, which will be peer-reviewed by the Conference Scientific Committee.
Delegates interested in making an Oral Presentation should add a short CV of the presenting author in the “Biography” field after completing the abstract resume.

Abstracts can be submitted via the online Abstract Submission Service only. The Organizing and Scientific Committees of the ECCLS-2013 Conference kindly invite participants to submit abstracts on the listed topics.

Oral or poster presentation
Out of the submitted proposals, more than sixty oral or short oral of oral communications will be selected by the Conference Committee. The preference of oral and poster presentation should be indicated by the applicant during the submission process (please tick where appropriate on the form if you wish to apply for Oral Communication), but the final decision will be made by the Conference Committee.

 

Travel grant application 
Are you a young scientist who would like to attend the 5th Chemistry for Life Science Conference?  We are accepting applications for these grants until March 15th, 2013
At least 15 young scientists, who wish to attend the Conference in Barcelona, will be supported with a travel grant. Travel grants are conditional upon the acceptance of an abstract. Applicants must be the presenting author of an abstract submitted for the 5th Chemistry for Life Science and be born on or after 1 January 1981. All applicants are asked to include a CV in their application. Applicants will be notified of the decision in mid-April 2013.
If you are eligible and wish to apply for a travel grant, make sure to check the appropriate checkbox during your abstract submission.

 

Abstract Authors and Institutions
Τhe presenting author must be part of the authors list included in the submitted abstract. The names of authors will be published as listed on the uploaded abstract file.

 

Guidelines for abstract submission
1. Abstract may only be submitted via internet by filling the form for that purpose.
2. The presenting author must be registered before April 30th, 2013
3. Abstracts should contain original data and should have not been presented in other conferences or published in journals.
4. The author should indicate the desired presentation format (oral or poster).
5. The Scientific Committees will evaluate the abstract taking into account the scientific quality and the submission criteria to decide on acceptance and on the final format of the abstract presentation.
6. Abstract acceptance or rejection and the presentation form will be notified to the presenting author by e-mail in mid-April 2013.
7. A maximum of 2 Abstracts can be submitted per Registration
Please read through your abstract carefully before submitting it, as you cannot change it once submitted.

 

Abstract results
All abstracts will be reviewed by independent evaluators and the final selection will be made by the 5 ECCLS Committee. All accepted abstracts will be scheduled as either oral or poster presentations. The 5 ECCLS Committee will determine the format, day and time of presentation.
An e-mail message will be sent to the Abstract Submitter by mid-April 2013 with a report on the status of the abstract (accepted or rejected). Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author(s) to present if accepted. Failure to present and register for the 5 ECCLS, if not justified, may jeopardize future acceptance of abstracts.

 

Abstract format
1. Abstracts must be written in English.
2. The document must be typed in any standard word processing program
3. The text must be left-justified and without blank spaces between lines or paragraphs
4. The Abstract has to make reference to one of the Thematic Areas.
5. Content:

• Title:  In capitals and bold letters.

• Author’s name: Enter the complete first (given) name, middle initial(s) and complete last (family) name in regular letters and only the initials in capital letters. The name of the main author/presenter must be underlined.

• Affiliation of the authors must be included. Do not give department, division, branch, street address, etc. when completing the institution information. Enter only the name of the institution, the city, the state/province, and the country.

• Keywords: 5 keywords maximum.

• Avoid the inclusion of abbreviations, figures, tables or references

• The main text of the abstract must contain up to 300 words
 

POSTERS

Posters exhibited during the conference should be 110 long * 90 wide cm size.
